Tax Credits
Available for Homeowners
The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act
creates energy tax credits in three broad categories:
building envelope, HVAC systems and renewable energy. The link below
has a chart summarizing the energy specifications that the
improvement or equipment must meet to qualify and highlights key
differences in the limits and deadlines applied to each.
Renewable energy credits apply to all homes,
including new homes and vacation homes.
